She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Cooper Houck and Sarah Samuels Houck; her husband Wayne K. Posey; and her children, Larry G. Posey and Jeanne Posey Underwood.
She is survived by: her children, John R. Posey (Kathy) of Cadiz, KY, Jerry J. Posey (Pat), Roderick G. Owens, Gregory D. Owens, Wayne Michael Posey (Chris) of Point Blank, TX, Kenneth Ray Posey (Kelly) of Nashville, TN, Stuart Eugene Posey of Rockfield, KY, Thomas Cooper Owens (Tonya) of Virginia Beach, VA and Cheryl Owens Haynes (Forest) of Waxahachie, TX; her sisters, Mildred Saunders of Monroe, NC and Jessieanne Wells of Cox's Creek, KY; and her pet Rascal. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Temple (395 S Main St, Russellville, KY 42276).
