He was predeceased by: his parents, Spencer Miles and Anna Rhea Nalley Miles; his parents-in-law, Alton and Christine Mattingly; his brother Billy; his sister-in-law Linda Mattingly; and his friends, Paul and Frances Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Miles; his sons, Derek Miles (Larae) and Brock Miles (Jessica); his grandchildren, Raela, Clay, Maci and Dustin; his sisters, Claudia Smith (Freddy), Stella DeWitt, Gladys Smith (Gerald) and Renee Miles; and his nephews, Gaylon Blanford and Timothy Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mattingly Funeral Home (195 Holy Cross Rd, Loretto, KY 40037). A prayer will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (59 New Haven Rd, Loretto, KY 40037).
