He was predeceased by: his siblings, Pam Cowen Guill, Liz Henson, Gary "Gabby" Cowen and Kenny Cowen; and his parents, Harry Neal and Carnelia Ramage Cowen (Anglin).
He is survived by: his son Charles Cowen of Salem; his siblings, Sandy Guess (Kenneth) of Eddyville, Diana Jones (Dennis) of Smithland, Jimmy Cowen of Lake Superior, Mikey Ramage (Wendy Doom) of Tiline and Ronnie Ramage (Frances) of Smithland; his grandchildren, William Cowen (Emma), Marlena Rolley (Jared) and Macie Cowen; and his great grandchildren, Preston Levi Cowen, Laniey Cowen, Jolena Rolley and Josiah Rolley.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services (212 E Main St, Salem, KY 42078). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
