He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Jackson; his parents, Oather Jackson and Rosie Jackson; and his siblings, Charles, Norma Jean and Caroyn.
He is survived by: his sons, Elzie Matthew Jackson (Ozetta) and Steffan Monroe Jackson (Kimberly); and his sisters, Bessie Wilson and Carol Jackson (Jenny). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
