Though William Gerald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William Gerald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Johnna Vic Butler; his sister Jo Frances; his brother-in-law Bill Hailey; and his parents, William B. Butler and Geraldine Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Porter Butler; his daughter Jada Lee; his son-in-law Brian Lee McDaniel of Lebanon, TN; and his granddaughter Francesca Scout McDaniel of Lebanon, TN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Salem Baptist Food Pantry in his honor.
