Barbara Jean Sallee Obituary

We announce the death of Barbara Jean Sallee of Salt Lick, Kentucky, who passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 94. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Shurrel F. Gough and Pearl Turner Gough; her husband Clarence "CJ" Sallee Jr.; her sister-in-law Francis (Patty Gough); her sister Betty Campbell; her brother-in-law Ernest; her son-in-law Joel D. Long; her nephew Terry Campbell; and her great-nephew Tim "Bo" Showalter.

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Chiles, Vickie Long and Cheryl Fielden (Keith); her stepsons, Richard Sallee and Raymond Sallee; her grandchildren, Autumn Parker, Mike, Joshua Long, Amy, Andy Long, Susan, Julie Long, Angela Fielden and Keisha Fielden; her great grandchildren, Clayton Parker, Kaitlyn, Cade Parker and Zoe Parker; her grandchildren, Lydia, Elliot, Vivian, Joshua Jude, Johnna, June, Joel Long, Winnifred Weaver, Jocelyn, Alaina Baran, Draven, Lucius, Shiloh and Angel Lykins; her nieces and nephews, Sandy Lewis, Debbie Showalter and Tim; and her great-nephews, Brad Lewis and Steve Showalter.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Gabriel Church (232 W 9th St, Connersville, IN 47331). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the Dale Cemetery (801 N Gregg Rd, Connersville, IN 47331).

Memorial contributions may be made to the PTC Ministries Connersville Disaster Relief Fund in her honor.
