He is survived by: his children, Heather Patton (Charles) of Jeffersonville, KY and Billy Scaggs (Connie) of Salt Lick, KY; his grandchildren, Elijah Hartgrove, Zachary Hartgrove, Autumn Manning, Bradley Scaggs (Marissa) and Ben Scaggs (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Trace and Boone Scaggs; and his nieces, Penny Grimes and Chrissy Scaggs Mullins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (39 Main St, Salt Lick, KY 40371). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
