It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Brooks Brown of Salt Lick, Kentucky, who passed away on May 25, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Brown and Dorothy Ann Brown; his daughter Norma Jo Brown; his stepchildren, Thomas Withrow and Tina Withrow; and his siblings, Pamela Brown and Larry Brown.

He is survived by : his wife Lottie Purvis Brown; his children, James Brooks Brown, Jr., Carol Ann Wheland, Tammy Manley and Regina Marie Hardin; his siblings, Regina Tapp, Minnie Alsap, Orville Lee Brown and Ellen Brown; and his close friends, Nathan Young and Robin Reffitt.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 27th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (39 Main St, Salt Lick, KY 40371). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
