He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Raymond and Della Hardin; his siblings, Nancy Ward and Charles Hardin; and his children-in-law, Christy Hardin and Eric Shankland.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hunt Hardin; his children, Maggie Shankland, Nathan Hardin (Tabitha), Caliem Hardin (Shannon) and Emanuel Hardin (Pam); his siblings, Barbara Staton (Doc), Ellen McCarty, Judy Wolford (Ray), Roger Hardin (Mary) and Tommy Hardin (Twila); and his brother-in-law David Hunt. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (39 Main St, Salt Lick, KY 40371). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at the Joe and Linda Hardin Family Cemetery (119 Hardin Rd, Salt Lick, KY 40371).
