It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Rose Short of Salvisa, Kentucky, who passed away on August 25, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jesse Goodpaster and Myrtle Goodpaster (Royalty); her husband Arvin Short; and her brothers, Marvin Horn, Willie B. Horn, Bobby Goodpaster and Clarence Thomas Goodpaster.

She is survived by : her children, Donna Short Green and Arvin Wayne "Buddy" Short (Glynda); her sister-in-law Ava Jewel Horn; her grandchildren, La-Neen Brown (Johnny), Leigh-Ann Miller (Keith), Letha Keebortz (Stephen), DeWayne Short (Connie) and Daniel Short; and her great grandchildren, Kynleigh Grace Miller, Presley Lynn Bradshaw, Beau Thomas Brown and Peyton Leigh Bradshaw.
