He was predeceased by : his parents, William Owen "Buck" and Ailene Whalen (Bussell). He is survived by : his wife Amanda Bush Whalen; his children, Toni Whalen Trisler (Stephen), Debra Lynn Whalen of Salvisa and William O. Whalen III (Bethany) of Lawrenceburg, KY; and his sisters, Brenda Jo Evans of Salvisa, Doris Knox of Harrodsburg and Bobbie Jean Lindsey. He is also survived by five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
