He was predeceased by : his parents, Lonnie Layne and Mary Patrick Whitaker; his granddaughter Mercedes Layne Whitaker Stephens; and his sister Avanelll Arnett. He is survived by : his wife Kathy Butcher Whitaker; his children, Darrell Shane Whitaker (Tracy) of Salyersville and Sonya Jill Whitaker (Ricky Dean Whitaker) of Salyersville; his sister Bonnie Jean Stone (Phillip) of Tecumseh; his granddaughter Alexandria Mayne Risner (Brandon); and his great grandchild Zander Dean Risner.
