She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Smith and Ruby Tackett Smith; her husband Edward Minix; her sons, Randy Lynn Minix and Edward Junior Minix; and her siblings, John William Smith, Sanford Allen Smith, Francis Puckett, Sarah McKenzie and Lena Fay Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel Joseph Minix (Melissa) of Salyersville, Matthew Allen Minix (Surrina) of Salyersville, Gregory Lee Minix (Mary) of Salyersville, Adam Curtis Minix (Miranda) of Salyersville, Jamie Dwight Minix (Alisha) of Salyersville, Chadwick Neil Minix (Jerica) of Salyersville, Lydia Blanton (Ronald), Rebecca Jo Bolen (Jeff) and Tina Prater (Ricky); her daughters-in-law, Leatrice Minix and Reginia Minix; and her sisters, Irene Shepherd of Cynthia, Mary McCarty of Chillicothe and Levon Gibson of Lucasville. She is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren, and thirty-seven great grandchildren.
