He was predeceased by: his parents, R. V. Minix and Melova Minix; his wife Lois Ann Bailey Minix; his brother Alvin Minix; and his sisters-in-law, Rhonda Minix and Margaret Minix.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Denny Minix (Sabrina) of Salyersville, Jenny Lynn Howard (Dwayne) of Salyersville and Rebecca Ann Patrick (Brian) of Salyersville; his siblings, Gary Minix of Pikeville, Hetsel Minix of Salyersville, Larry Minix of Salyersville, Manuel Minix of Salyersville and Henrietta Miller (Anthony) of Salyersville; his granddaughters, Hannah Lea Combs, Alyssa Beth Minix, Kaleigh Dawn Minix, Ashlyn Brianna Patrick and Allie Grace Minix; and his stepgrandchildren, Sarah Prater, Stacey Spencer and Dillon Howard. He is also survived by six step-great grandchildren.
