He was predeceased by : his mother Flora Carpenter Marshall; his wife Nannie Manns Marshall; his daughter Linda Lou Marshall; and his siblings, Oran Marshall, Nick Marshall, Canaan Marshall, Junior Marshall, Williard Marshall, Ellery Marshall and Emily Brown.

He is survived by : his children, Daniel Marshall (Kim) of Salyersville, Dorothy Mullins (Danny) of Salyersville, Peggy Stambaugh (Jeff) of Lowmansville and Teresa Holbrook (Wilbur) of Salyersville; and his brother Denver Marshall of McGuffey. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
