He was predeceased by : his children, Cecil (Ida Brown Adkins) and Jeanette Hammonds; and his brothers, Fred Adkins, Offa Adkins and Sammy Adkins.
He is survived by : his sister Belle Taylor; his grandsons, Anthony Adkins and Joey Adkins; his wife Iva Fannin Adkins; his children, Billy Adkins of Sandy Hook, Kentucky., Steve Adkins of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. and Connie Adkins of Ashland, Kentucky.; and his siblings, Tom Adkins (Brenda) of Sandy Hook, Bill Adkins of Sandy Hook, Lewis David Adkins (Diane) of Ohio and Mildred Johnson of Michigan. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
