He is survived by: his wife Diana Elliott Penix; his daughter Stefanie; his son-in-law Logan Markwell; his sons, Ashley Penix of Elliott County and Mauricio Penix of Elliott County; his sister Debbie; his brother-in-law Randall Jenkins of Salyersville; and his brothers, Jeff (Judy Penix) and Terry (Beverly Penix).
