He was predeceased by: his parents, JC Adkins and Carlene Whitt Adkins; his stepparents, John Henry and Viola Carolyn Stafford; his stepsisters, Joann Adkins, Barbara Gandee and Billie Abner; his nephew Jason Ray Jenkins; his niece Jessica Nicole Jenkins; his brother-in-law Jesse Phillip Jenkins; his uncles, John Ed Whitt and Jack Whitt; and his aunt Armeda Whitt.
He is survived by: his daughters, April Fultz, Tisha Brown (Thomas), Marissa Adkins and Shonda Adkins; his sister Jennifer Adkins; his nephews, Jonathan Adkins, Shannon Adkins and Christopher Adkins; and his niece Vanessa Keeton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his union brothers and sisters; and a host of extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Whitt & Sons Funeral Home (1260 KY-7, Sandy Hook, KY 41171). A burial will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at the Elliott County Memory Gardens (KY-7, Sandy Hook, KY 41171).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in Denzil's honor.
