He was predeceased by : his parents, Burl Sparks and Nancy Sparks; his brother Larry David Sparks; his nieces, Miranda Oliver and Sheila Stephens; his great-niece Allie Sue McDowell; and his great-nephew Ashley Wyatt Laney.
He is survived by : his wife Karen Sue Ison Sparks; and his siblings, Carl (Mary Sparks) of Sandy Hook and Janet Fay Laney of Sandy Hook.
