She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Combs and Nannie Sumner Combs; and her husband Harrison Melton. She is survived by: her children, Ralph Melton (Theresa) of Midlothian, Harrison Jr. Melton (Lisa) of Science Hill, Kentucky and Roxanna Leaser (Billy) of Cleburne, Texas; and her grandchildren, Alicia (Saul), Chris, Danny (Patricia), Jon (Jennifer), Leticia (Matt), Zachary (Natalie), Nicolas, Jordan (Brandi), Jared, Kelly and Halee Faye (Isaiah). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Beech Grove Church (600 Stanford St, Science Hill, KY 42553). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Beech Grove Cemetery Fund.
