It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Butt of Science Hill, Kentucky, born in Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on August 10, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marion and Artie Precilla Dick (Roberts); her husband Gilbert Butt; and her siblings, Bill, Bob, Ed, Bud Dick and Virginia Harrison.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Gilbert Butt of Science Hill, Vickie Carter (Robert) of Lancaster, Debbie Clothier of Science Hill and Kathy Butt of Science Hill; her sister Ruby Peters of Shopville; her grandchildren, Robert, Nathan, Kristen Carter, Eric, Brandon Clothier, Jesse Butt and Danny Butt, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Bradley, Logan, Caleb, Natalie Carter, Jaden, Josiah, Hembree, Shane Carter, David Walker, Jaelyn Clothier and Clara Butt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
