He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Lee Freeman and Lucy Lee Tays Freeman of Cookeville, Tennessee.; his brother Jimmy Freeman; and his close friend Mollie Thompson. He is survived by: his daughters, Tamyra Freeman (John Hill) and Donna Criswell; and his grandchildren, Jenna Criswell and Joshua Criswell.
