In the vast expanse of eternity, Dottye shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Dottye farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elster "Whitey" Lawson and Dorothy Mae Harston Lawson; her husband Bro. Richard Lyle; and her son Donald Clinton Lyle. She is survived by: her daughter Beth Lyle Sexton (Jeff) of Scottsville, KY; her grandsons, John Burx Sexton of Scottsville, KY and James Levi Sexton (Gracie) of Scottsville, KY; and her great grandchild Alorya James Lynn Sexton.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Goad Funeral Home (215 W Main St, Scottsville, KY 42164). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
