He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burr Smith and Katie Lee Stanley Smith; and his siblings, J. B. Smith, Casey Britt, Emma Jo Rust and June Hullett.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sharer Smith of Scottsville, KY; his daughters, Brandy Lynn Smith of Scottsville, KY and Kendra Smith Kibby (Scott) of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Emersyn Layne Kibby and Ellisyn Grace Kibby; his siblings, Bill Smith of Franklin, KY, David Smith of Bowling Green, KY, Sherry Gragg of Russellville, KY, Georgia Robertson of Russellville, KY and Patricia Cavett (Steve) of Auburn, KY; and his sister-in-law Fredia Montgomery (Pete) of Scottsville, KY. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Goad Funeral Home (215 W Main St, Scottsville, KY 42164). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
