He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Eugene Bower and Mary Etta Richardson Bower; his wives, Mary Dean Anderson Bower and Joyce Ann Hoover Bower; and his son Rex Bower.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Bower (Jeanie) of Scottsville, KY, Anthony Bower of Scottsville, KY, Brena of Scottsville, KY and Jenetta Smith; his sister Carolyn Wagoner of Mattoon, IL; and his grandchildren, Trista Haas, Brock Brown, Brandon Bower, Cori Hall (Kyle), Cassie Bower, Caitlin Spearman (Conner), Cinzie Bower, Chanler Bower, Kaleigh Alsdorf, Ryker Bower, Landon Bower and Avari Bower. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
