He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Purvis and Hynophia Purvis; his sons, Josh Purvis and Jason Purvis; and his sister Bonnie Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Victoria Purvis of Scottsville, KY; his daughter Cara Jones of Marion, IN; and his stepdaughters, Crystale Hunt of Scottsville, KY and Angela Schultz of Scottsville, KY. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Shady Grove General Baptist Church (1710 Halifax-Bailey Rd, Scottsville, KY 42164). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
