He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Barton Carter and Arphie Prudence McCrary Carter; and his daughter Janet Gale Carter. He is survived by: his wife Arthema W. Carter; his children, Eric Carter (Marcia) and Angela Marr (Don); his sisters, Dixie Woodward of Scottsville, KY and Melba Perkins (Richard) of Scottsville, KY; his grandchildren, Brian Marr (Lyndsey), Amy Winkenhofer (Brandon McIvor), Mallory Harper (Trey), Paige Murley (David) and Kelli Miller (Brandon); and his great grandchildren, Blaire Marr, Grey Thomas Marr, Katie Winkenhofer, Marley Winkenhofer, Brock McIvor, Ivan Harper, Jace Harper, Henry Harper, Mary Claire Harper, Stella Harper, Olivia Starks, Carter Murley and Corbin Miller.

According to the Kentucky Funeral Director's Association social distancing and face mask are recommended and no PUBLIC lounge is available.
