It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Van Robert Arvin of Scottsville, Kentucky, born in York, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Arvin and Jean Arvin; his in-laws, Ernest and Emma Neil; and his brother-in-law Robert C Keffer.
He is survived by : his wife Dana Neil; his son Cole Neil Arvin (Stacy Arvin) of Scottsville, KY; his sister Vickie Arvin Pensinger (Bob); his niece Christy; his sister-in-law Jane Neil Orelli (Rusty); his niece Tiffany Grant (Paul); his great-nephews, Kingsley, Princeton and Austin Neil Orelli; his nephew Vincent Orelli (Shelby); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Nash and Norah; his niece Camille Seeling (Daniel) of Williamsport, PA; his sister-in-law Lori Neil Keffer of Springfield, VA; and his friend Lynn Hartzfeld (Anne). He is also survived by his family and friends.
Before moving away from State College, he donated 40 cases of books from his extensive library to the Veterans Hospital. He worked with many charities and organizations including The Wildlife of Autism Foundation, Special Olympics, State College Little League and the Red Ribbon AIDS Walk.
