He was predeceased by: his parents, Bacil Evans and Norma Smith Evans; his former wife Kathryn Joanne Evans; and his sisters, Peggy McIntyre, Wilma Morrison and Mary Lou Meehan.
He is survived by: his wife Larcena Smith Evans; his children, Karen Smith (Rodney) of Happy, KY, Pattie Brashear of Scuddy, KY, Cindy Evans of Lexington, KY, Susan Turner (Randy) of London, KY and Aaron Evans of Georgetown, KY; his stepchildren, Jennifer Quillon of Happy, KY, Cara Brashear (Heath) of Hazard, KY and Mark Branson (Sarah) of Vicco, KY; and his cousin Karen Jones Cody. He is also survived by Nine Grandchildren, Six Step Grandchildren & Five Great-Grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Happy Freewill Baptist Church.
