With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Billy Joe Higgs of Sebree, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 25, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gastel Higgs and Elizabeth Fulcher; his daughter Connie Lykins Bivens; and his siblings, Paul Ray Higgs, Linda May King and Pearl Gladys Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Dioka Higgs of Sebree, KY; his sons, Ricky of Dixon, KY and Danny Higgs of Dixon, KY; his sister Joyce Faye Smith of Tunica, MS; and his grandchildren, Amy Sue Martin, Josh Snyder, Carrie Blake, Danielle Kromer and Kaylie Lykins. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to Salvation Army 1213 Washington St. Henderson, KY 42420.
