He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Prater and Ethel Coleman Prater; his significant other Debbie Prater; and his siblings, Faye Smith, Margie Robinson, Junior Dale Prater and Billy James Prater.
He is survived by: his children, Deanna Kyle, Leanna Prater, Jeanette Coleman, Brittany Prater, Michael Jones and Matthew Coleman; his grandchildren, Morgan Adkins (Cassy), Christin Adkins, Orbie McPeek (Emily), Destiny Simpson (A. J.), Ashley Webb, Matthew Arteaga, Shelby Sovoi and Justin Hasten; and his sisters, Jane Hudechek, Betty Jo Williams, Claire Green and Peggy Sue Prater. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
