He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lamar and Mary Ann Payne Monarch; his son John Damion Monarch; and his siblings, William L. Monarch, Anthony Joseph Monarch, Marie Ann Tooley, Dorothy Louise Clark, Mary Sue Bosley and Julia Catherine Brandle.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Bruner Monarch; his children, Jason Monarch (Meagan), Deidra Ann Monarch Mills (Phillip), Tammie L. Clements (Dean) and DeAnna Fay Clark (Alan); and his sisters, Margaret Mary Riney (Frank) and Teresa Helen Crawford (Jim). He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:45 PM at the Hall-Taylor-Collins Funeral Home of Shelbyville Monday (1185 West Main Street Shelbyville, KY 40065). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
