We announce the death of Wayne E. Bailey of Shelbyville, Kentucky, who passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 85. Wayne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry E. Bailey and Edith L. Bagshaw Bailey; and the mother of his child Sheila Brock Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bailey of Shelbyville, KY; his daughter Stephanie Esparza (Gilberto) of Eminence, KY; and his grandchildren, Paige O'Rourke of Jeffersonville, IN, Antonio Martinez of Kentucky, Zachary Martinez of Eminence, KY and Aubrey Hawthorne of Eminence, KY. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
