William Thorne Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 2, 2025, at the age of 82, William Thorne of Shelbyville, Kentucky passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Thorne to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Thorne and Lucille Thorne (Klein); and his daughter Denise Emberton. He is survived by: his wife Susan Thorne (Bainbridge); his children, Barry Thorne, Diane Darst and Steve Thorne; his grandchildren, Jacob, Luke, Natalee Emberton, Audrey Thorne and Adam Scarboro; his great grandchild Leo Troutman; and his brothers, Charley Thorne (Jayne) and Jim Thorne (Shirley). He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel in the Woods (1407 Moser Rd, Louisville, KY 40299).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that any contributions in Bill's memory be made to Food for the Poor (6401 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek, Florida 33073) and/or The Alzheimer's Association (101 Bullitt Lane #208, Louisville, KY 40222).
