She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thornton and Nora Karr Perkins; and her stepfather Junior "Honk" Perkins. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Johnson; her pet Teddy; her stepdaughters, Benita Browner (Richard) and Annette White (Terry); her son Charlie Thornton (Crystal); her sister Susie Shelton; and her half-brother Tommy Perkins. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren along with a host of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at the Follow and Brookland Cemetery (4897 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165).
