Diana Lynn Lester Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Diana Lynn Lester of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, born in Glasgow, Kentucky, who passed away on May 11, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Diana Lynn leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her father Walter VanMeter. She is survived by: her husband Ronald Lester; her daughter Iva Wininger (William); her mother Oleta Hill; her brother Rocky VanMeter; and her grandchildren, Robert, Ronald and Ryan. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Hardy-Close Funeral Home (285 S Buckman St, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home (285 S Buckman St, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A burial was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at the Highland Memory Gardens.
