It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dianne Marie Bates of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, who passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Dianne is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Dianne's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Linker and Angela M. Linker (Passanisi); and her brother Gerald L. "Jerry" Linker. She is survived by: her children, Laura Dunagan-Scherzinger, Jackie Stotts (Dave), Ed Dunagan, Jr. (Erin) and Angie Dunagan; and her pet Oreo. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home.
