He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Henry, Jr. and Anna Dittmeier Bennett; and his siblings, Abby Schweinhart, Carolyn Merrill, Ann Bennett, Dorothy Hommrich, Charles "Junie" Bennett and Robert Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Bennett; his children, Brad Bennett (Christine) and Brenda Sharp (Edwin III); and his sisters-in-law, Gloria Bennett and Martha Bennett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
