He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward Howard, Sr. and Carolyn Marie Howard (Bader); and his siblings, Sandra Howard and Joseph Howard. He is survived by: his wife Rita Adams Howard; his son Matthew A. Howard (Crystal); his grandsons, Jaxon and Elliott Howard; his siblings, Marilyn McKeand, Teresa Similey, Robert Howard (Nancy) and Michael Howard (Mary); and his aunt Carolyn Sue Neel (Gerry).
