He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Shahayda and Embry. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Derek (Kate) and Monica Shahayda; his grandson Gunnar; his brother Vincent (Colleen); his stepsister Becky Perkins (JR); his sister-in-law Kathy Shahayda; and his sibling's children, Amy, Andrea Shahayda, Patrick (McKenzie) and Morgan (Alexis).
