It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie B. Schmidt of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 6, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Michael Schmidt and Regina Taylor Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Schmidt; his daughters, Deborah Mitchell (Craig) and Laurie Huston (Steve); his grandsons, Graham Mitchell (Nicole), Andrew Mitchell (Aubrey), Zachary Huston (Venessa) and Alex Huston (Olivia); and his great grandchildren, Colby Huston, Dean Mitchell and Zane Huston.

Expression of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville or St Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
