He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlen Compton and Jacqueline Compton (Jarrell); his grandchildren, Evelyn Violet Compton and Baby Compton; and his brothers, Delmer Dean Jarrell Jr., Richard Gordon Compton and Lacy Russell Compton.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Compton (Morton); his sons, Harlen Compton (Alyssa), Michael Compton Jr. (Kristen), Henry Compton (Alexis) and Samuel Compton (Skyler); his grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Russell, Tyler, Lexi (Jernesto), Isabella, Olivia, Ashlynn, Rylan and Cain; his great grandchild Zion; and his brother Joseph Compton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A masonic service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home-Shepherdsville (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at the Cedar Grove Cemetery (142 Buffalo Run Rd, Shepherdsville, KY 40165).
