He was predeceased by: his parents, Molly Crump and George Tinnell; his son Dale Tinnell; and his siblings, Geneva Ratchford, Bonnie Masden, Lucille Tinnell, Georgia Jackson, Sharon Tinnell, Darnell Travis, Rita Maraman and Sandra Ryan.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Lynn Flener Tinnell; and his children, Ray Tinnell (Diana), Barry Tinnell, Destiny Bates (Christian) and Michael Tinnell. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
