With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Ray Merriett of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, who passed away on July 18, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Edna Pearl Moss; his wife Iris N. Merritt; his father John Craven Moss; his brother James E. Gunterman; his sons, Danny Joe Merriett, Thomas Edward Merriett and Timothy Ray Merriett; his son-in-law William Ray Green, Jr.; and his granddaughter Renee Jean Merriett.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Lee Merriett, Tobin Lee Merriett, Lacey Renee Green, Michelle Leigh Hawkins (Andy), Janelle Marie McDaniels (William), Patricia Fultz (James) and Brian Smith (Shelda). He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Porter and Son Funeral Director's Chapel (769 Main St, Campton, KY 41301).
