She is survived by: her children, Roger Orr, Christine Metcalf (Richard), Thomas Orr and JoAnn Orr; her grandchildren, Alex Metcalf Strickland (Emma) and Amanda; her great grandchild Jacob; her brother Henry Apanasik; and her pet Cindy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations in Vera's honor be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
