He was predeceased by: his wife Nola Jean Garrison Newby; his parents, Clara Ann and Oscar Newby; his sister Shirley Newby; and also, Mildred, Deanie and Mae Garrison.
He is survived by: his close friend Paula Layman of Mount Washington; his stepson David Schaad (Jan) of Pinedale, Wyoming; his great grandchildren, Logan of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Owen of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Nolan of Cheyenne, Wyoming; his niece Judy; and his great-niece Angie Wardrip of Louisville.
