He was predeceased by : his parents, Ed Kortas and Harriet Kortas. He is survived by : his wife Judith Ann Kortas of Simpsonville; his daughter Jana Leigh Kortas Neffendorf (Brett) of Gray; his sister Marilyn Karbin of Bolingbrook, Illinois; and his niece Kerri Keledjian (Michael) of Framingham, Massachusetts..
