With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl Barnes of Sizerock, Kentucky, who passed away on July 29, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sim Barnes and Ella Barnes of Sizerock, Kentucky.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Esther Webb Barnes; his siblings, Darrell Barnes (Ora) of London, Lorene B. Sizemore of Sizerock and Fred Barnes (Brenda) of Hyden; his children, Sherry Kelly (Jeff) of London, Robin Lewis (Phillip) of Hoskinston and Carl "Rick" Barnes (Sherri) of Sizerock; his grandchildren, Justin Barnes (Megan), Gabriella Bailey (Tyler), Andrew Barnes (Nancy), Preston Lewis and Maxwell Lewis; his great grandchildren, Jay Bailey and Jace Barnes; his aunt Margie Barnes Ledford of Oneida; and his uncle Fred Hensley (Mallie) of Ohio.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sizerock Baptist Church (18 Sizerock Baptist Rd, Sizerock, KY 41762).
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to The Gideons International.
