He is survived by: his wife Sharon Durham Tompkins of Slaughters; his sons, Donnie Tompkins (Lisa) of Hanson, KY and Darren Tompkins (Tonya) of Foley, Alabama; his grandchildren, Alex Carroll (Liz), Celeste Brown (Josh), Zane Tompkins (Jess), Sofia Rodgers (Nick), Devin Tompkins, Alexa Tompkins, Brandon Tompkins, Gwen Groves (Jared) and Destinie Tompkins; his great grandchildren, Judah, Reese, Katherine, Titus and Ingram; his brothers-in-law, Jimmy Durham and James Ballard; and his brothers, Lynn Young, Carl Nelson and Brad Tucker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
