He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Pennington; and his siblings, Lorene Adams, Mavie Roberts, Ruth Roberts, Rex, James Pennington, Michael Day and Gary Day.
He is survived by: his brother Ricky Day (Jowanna); his sibling's children, Wendy Fields of Smilax, KY, Carl Day of Smilax, KY., Matthew Day and Amanda Day Brock; and his close friend Rob.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Homes (155 Hickory St, Hyden, KY 41749). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
